![]() The Banshee returns to Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online holding the same design as its previous appearance in GTA IV, although it now only spawns with a vented hood. In the DS version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the Banshee appears similar to either the Phoenix or the GTA Vice City rendition, while in the PSP/ iOS version it resembles the GTA IV rendition, but always features two white stripes. It features 10-spoke split wheels, wrapped in low-profile tires. The Banshee may spawn with a single color, or like the GTA III model, a two-tone color, where the secondary one is applied in the form of a stripe. This is counteracted by an alarm that will go off when the door is opened. Hardtop Banshees do not have windows, so they are easier to steal than other cars. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the Banshee may spawn with several cosmetic accessories: A large bumper with a carbon-fiber diffuser can be seen. The rear of the car is very stylish, featuring a small extension emulating a ducktail spoiler, a black strip on the center and two tail lights that follow the shape of the rear. The rear-view mirrors are attached to the edges of the hood and the windshield is surrounded by a black frame. Black skirts can be seen at the bottom, along with curved exhaust pipes near the rear wheels. The sides denote the car's curved profile, having slightly flared arches and curved doors. The hood hinges on the front and opens forward, having two black clamps on the sides. The edges above the bumper are occupied by two black housings, each one featuring two circular lamps. The bumper occupies most of its front end, complete with a central intake, and a black splitter with BRAVADO on the center. The Banshee assumes a similar design to the GTA III model, but featuring a large profile and more realistic details. The interior of the car appears to be inspired by the MKIV Toyota Supra's, with the auxiliary dashboard controls facing the driver. The front bumper seems to be inspired by the Honda S2000, while the taillights resemble those of the Aston Martin DB9. The front fascia resembles a modified Third Generation Mazda RX-7, with modified headlights. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the Bravado Banshee resembles a second generation Dodge Viper SR (though the Banshee has a V8 instead of a V10 engine), but has a side-pipe exhaust and a shorter roofline, resembling the third generation or fourth generation Dodge Viper ZB. The Grand Theft Auto Advance rendition, which mimics the design of GTA III's Banshee, is also comparable to the GTA 2's Rumbler, but is generally sleeker, sports the same single stripe as other Banshees, and comes with a vinyl top. This model only used a fewer range of single-tone colors. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the Banshee resembles a mid 80's model Corvette C4, with its angular design and dual twin-exhaust. This is probably due to the fact that the Banshee sits quite low to the ground. The Banshee is one of a handful of vehicles where CJ kicks the driver instead of punching them or slamming their head into the steering wheel. This would later change in GTA SA and GTA LCS, where colored stripes are present. The GTA III model initially featured a variety of colors with a permanent white stripe running across the car. The Banshee also features very pronounced fender flares, something not found on any Viper and very uncommon on American cars of its era. The car's rear end is mostly based on the first generation Dodge Viper RT/10, but features wrap-around taillights, a distinct design element shared with the 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro. The Banshee also borrows minor elements from other 90s American coupes, such as the hood scoops from the 1993-1997 Pontiac Firebird and headlights resembling those of a 1994-1996 Dodge Stealth. It differs from its real life counterpart in its narrower width and headlight design. In Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the Banshee resembles a first generation Dodge Viper RT/10, with its dual exhaust and curvilinear design. ![]()
